In recognition of its success in implementing a $50,000 peer/recovery support grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Ohio was recently asked to present on its experience to other states, territories, providers and stakeholders to help them bring recovery supports to scale for their behavioral health system.

Presenting during the Jan. 24 webinar on behalf of Ohio were Jim Lapczynski, ODADAS deputy director and chief legal counsel; Debbie Nixon-Hughes, ODMH program and policy deputy director; and Karin Carlson, planning specialist with the ODADAS Division of Planning, Outcomes and Research, who discussed Ohio’s lessons learned from the grant’s implementation.
